Q: What is DIGITOMENU?

DIGITOMENU is a service that provides QR code menus to local shops. Customers can see the menu of the shop on their smartphone.

Q: How do I start DIGITOMENU?

Access the DIGITOMENU official site by searching DIGITOMENU.com. You can then start DIGITOMENU by clicking an orange button that says "Get Started", "Try Digitomenu for free", "Start with STARTER plan" or "Start with PREMIUM".

Q: What kind of stores can use DIGITOMENU?

DIGITOMENU can be used in all local businesses like restaurants, cafes, izakayas, bars, gift stores, bakeries, wine shops, omiyage shops, yatai, etc.

Q: Which languages can my menu be displayed in?

On the PREMIUM Plan, your menus can be displayed in Japanese, German, English, Spanish, French, Korean, and Chinese. On the STARTER Plan, only Japanese is available.

Q: What languages are supported on the Business Dashboard?

You can use Japanese or English to create your menu.

Q: Can DIGITOMENU be accessed without a smartphone?

No. In this case, please use a paper or plastic menu.

Q: Do customers have to download an app?

No, the menu is shown on a website so customers do not need to download an app. Customers just need to scan a QR code or click on a URL link to access your menu.

Q: Can DIGITOMENU be used even when customers are not in the store?

Yes. Whether inside or outside the store, customers can scan and see the products if the QR code is posted.

Ex: If you share your QR Code on flyers, magazines, restaurant search sites, Google Maps, etc., customers will be able to see your menu at any time.

Q: Can customers order and pay using DIGITOMENU?

No. DIGITOMENU does not have contactless order or online payment functions. DIGITOMENU's QR Code Menu is a service that allows domestic and overseas customers to pre-select products with peace of mind and without stress, while decreasing the language barrier with your staff when ordering.

Q: How long does it take for the QR code menu to be available after registration?

You will be able to use the QR code menu from the first day of official registration.

Q: What do I need to prepare at the store?

All you need to create a QR code menu is a computer. There is no need to use other equipment or systems.

Q: Can I use the QR code and URL address anywhere to promote my shop?

Yes. You can use the provided QR code freely as you like. We recommend using it as a tool for attracting customers by posting it on take-out and delivery menus, Google Maps, leaflets, and magazines.

Pricing and Plans

Q: Is there an initial cost?

There is no initial cost or deposit needed.

Q: What is the difference between the STARTER plan and PREMIUM plan?

With the STARTER plan, you can use the minimum required features for free. With the PREMIUM plan, you can create more professional QR code menus that are customizable with multiple languages, various background colors, product photo postings, and food diversity options.

The PREMIUM plan has a monthly fee of ¥2,500 (excluding tax), or ¥24,000 / 12 months (excluding tax) for a one-time payment. The PREMIUM plan comes with a free trial period.

Q: Are there any restrictions on the contract period?

The STARTER plan is free of charge each month, so there is no limit to the contract period.

The PREMIUM plan can be used until the end of the month in which payment has been made for monthly payments, and until the end of the 12th month for annual lump sum payments.

Q: What happens when the Free Trial term ends?

You will receive a reminder email before the end of the trial period. Please follow the instructions in the reminder email and choose to continue or cancel your premium plan.

Please note that if you do not complete the cancellation process, the monthly fee ¥2,500 (excluding tax) will be settled with the registered credit card on the last day of the trial period.

Q: Is there any cost for maintenance and management after creating the QR code menu?

No. The store owner is responsible for creating and editing the QR code menu. Therefore, maintenance, management, system repairs, and replacements do not occur.

Q: How do I create a menu?

Q: How much time does it take to create a QR code menu?

It depends on the number of items. It may take some time to get used to creating the QR code menu. Once you get used to it, you can easily create and edit it.

Please refer to the following for the average time required to create 50 products. (* aggregated values made by our company)
・ STARTER plan (without product images): 1-2 hours
・ PREMIUM plan (with product images): 3-4 hours

Q: Is it possible to make a menu using a smartphone?

We apologize for the inconvenience, but at this time it is not possible to create a menu using a smartphone.

Q: Is there an upper or lower limit to the number of products that can be used on my DIGITOMENU?

No. You can create a DIGITOMENU from one product. There is no upper limit on the number of items.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of menus I can create on DIGITOMENU?

No. However, at least one menu must be created.

Q: What is a Display Kit and how do I get one?

We provide Display Kits (POP stands, mini stickers, and window stickers) to help you promote and share your QR Code Menu with customers. You can order a Display Kit after registering and creating your menu.
